ENA is one of St. Cousair's longtime signature red blends, made in Iizuna, Nagano from grapes sourced across the winery's Nagano-prefecture growing areas. Led by Merlot and rounded out with Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Pinot Noir, it is distinguished from the winery's other reds by a small addition of Concord, the American hybrid variety, which lends a gentle berry-like sweetness to the aroma. The wine shows a beautiful deep reddish-purple color, ripe berry and spice aromatics, and a soft, approachable palate, and it has repeatedly won gold medals at international competitions including the Concours Mondial des Vins Feminalise and Challenge International du Vin. In September 2025, St. Cousair renamed this wine 'Oka no Ue no Hallelujah' (丘の上のハレルヤ), inspired by the chapel on the winery's hilltop grounds, though it continues to be widely referenced under its original name, ENA.

Sommelier's Note
