Miau ("a cat's meow" in German) is Sakaki Wine Brewing's off-dry rosé, blended from estate-grown Zweigelt (55%) and Merlot (45%). First released in 2022 as an evolution of the winery's earlier "Mikeneko Rosé," it is made using a juice-reserve method: a portion of unfermented grape juice is frozen and blended back in before bottling, preserving natural fruit sweetness without added sugar. The nose shows ripe cherry, plum, and tart green apple with delicate rose-like florals, framed by gentle sweetness and calm, easy-drinking acidity — a playful, approachable rosé true to its cat-themed name.
Sakaki's most approachable cuvée — a juice-reserve rosé that proves natural sweetness doesn't need to mean simple.

Food Pairings
The natural sweetness and soft acidity make it an easy match for everyday cooking: think teriyaki chicken, karaage, or lightly spiced Southeast Asian dishes. Its cherry and rose-petal character also pairs well with prosciutto, soft cheeses, and light charcuterie.
