Palmer & Co
パルメ・エ・コー
Cooperative-grown Champagne from Reims, known for long ageing and reserve wines.
About Palmer & Co
Palmer & Co is the Champagne brand of the Société Coopérative de Producteurs des Grands Terroirs de la Champagne, a growers' cooperative founded in Avize in 1947 by seven growers and based in the centre of Reims since 1959. It is a cooperative brand rather than a single estate: the wines are made from grapes supplied by member growers, many of them in the Montagne de Reims. The house is known for long ageing and for blending older reserve wines into its non-vintage cuvées, and its rosé uses a solera-aged red wine component instead of the usual saignée method.
Who Is This For?
For those who like mature, creamy Champagne with depth from reserve wines and long lees ageing, and want to know how a growers' cooperative works.
