A rare red sparkling wine from OcciGabi Winery in Yoichi, Hokkaido, blending the German red varieties Dornfelder and Regent. Rather than traditional bottle fermentation, it is finished by the carbonation (post-fermentation CO2 injection) method, which locks in the fresh, vivid berry aroma and light, juicy body of the base red wine. Its deep ruby-red color and fine bubbles make it a distinctive choice among Japanese sparkling reds.
One of the few red sparkling wines made in Japan — OcciGabi's Dornfelder-Regent blend proves that sparkling reds can be both novel and genuinely food-friendly.
