ta.to is Nagomi Vineyards' signature everyday Chardonnay, a blend of estate-grown fruit from the winery's own vineyard in the Kano district of Tomi City and purchased Chardonnay grapes from Takayama Village — its name taken from the initials of the two Nagano growing areas, Takayama and Tomi. Fermented with wild (indigenous) yeasts and aged roughly six months before bottling without fining or filtration, it shows fresh apple-honey and warm citrus fruit with a soft, full mouthfeel and light alcohol, making it one of the most approachable, food-friendly whites in the Chikuma River Wine Valley.
A rare two-terroir Chardonnay blend within a single Nagano appellation family — ta.to shows how Tomi's volcanic clay and Takayama's cooler sites can complement each other in one effortlessly drinkable glass.
