A single-vineyard dry white Koshu from Chanmoris (Morita Koshu Winery), part of the producer's 'Citrus Aroma' (Kankitsuko) series. The grapes come entirely from one contracted smallholding in the Hirose district of Isawa-cho, Fuefuki City, Yamanashi Prefecture -- a different source vineyard from the winery's Katsunuma-based home estate. Vivid aromas of passion fruit, mint and musk lead into a dry palate with lively acidity and an elegant, yuzu-peel-like bitterness on the finish. The 2024 vintage was the first the farm's limited hand-harvested yield could support as a standalone single-vineyard lot; from the 2025 vintage the wine adopted the winery's citrus-focused winemaking approach.

Sommelier's Note

The most aromatically exuberant bottling in the Citrus Aroma series so far -- passion fruit and musk notes give this Isawa Koshu a livelier profile than its Katsunuma sibling.

New to wine?

A great low-commitment way to taste how much a single Yamanashi vineyard can shape Koshu's aroma.

Food Pairings

Suited to sashimi, tempura and other Japanese dishes, especially those featuring citrus or fresh herbs alongside white fish; also good with goat cheese and lightly seasoned shellfish.

When to drink it

Aperitif or with light Japanese dishes; a good bottle for comparing Chanmoris's Citrus Aroma series side by side.
