Langverwacht Wines
ラングフェルワハト・ワインズ
Bonnievale's award-winning cellar, crafting fruit-forward wines since 1954.
About Langverwacht Wines
Founded in 1954 as Boesmansrivier Wine Cellar near Bonnievale in South Africa's Robertson wine region, Langverwacht Wines received its first harvest in 1956 and was later renamed after the farm on which it stands to avoid confusion with a nearby cheese factory. The estate sits along the Stormsvlei road, where warm summer days are tempered by cooling southeasterly ocean breezes, and vineyards are planted across a mix of sandy, lime-rich, and red clay soils. Processing over 13,000 tons of grapes each year, Langverwacht dedicates 85% of production to white cultivars such as Chenin Blanc, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, and Colombar, alongside reds including Pinotage, Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Ruby Cabernet. Under cellar master Marko Pentz, the winery crafts easy-drinking, fruit-forward wines that showcase varietal character, earning recognition at the Michelangelo and Veritas award competitions.
