Cramant grower Champagne from over sixty Grand Cru parcels

About Lancelot-Pienne

Lancelot-Pienne is a family-run grower Champagne house (Récoltant-Manipulant) based in Cramant in the Côte des Blancs. The estate farms about 8.5 hectares spread over more than sixty parcels, in the Grand Cru villages of Cramant, Avize and Chouilly and the Premier Cru village of Cuis. Founded around the beginning of the 20th century by Jean-Baptiste Lancelot, it took its present name when Albert Lancelot married Brigitte Pienne in 1967, uniting two Champagne families. Gilles Lancelot, an oenologist, has directed the estate since 2005. Chardonnays are vinified in vat to let chalk minerality speak, with reduced dosage across the range.
