La Morandina

ラ・モランディーナ

Family-run Piedmont estate famed for precision Moscato and rare-cru Barbaresco.

La Morandina is a family-run estate in Castiglione Tinella, in the Cuneo province of Piedmont, where the Morando family has cultivated the land since around 1600. The modern winery was founded in 1988 by brothers Giulio and Paolo Morando, who took over the historic Morandini vineyards with a renewed focus on quality. Best known for Moscato d'Asti of exceptional aromatic precision, the estate also produces Barbaresco from the tiny, prized Bricco di Neive cru — a 0.4-hectare plot of Nebbiolo vines aged 80-100 years of the rare Michet type — as well as Barbera d'Asti and Chardonnay. Vineyards are farmed with a strong commitment to sustainability, including organic conversion and renewable energy.
