Kurambon Sparkling Koshu is a non-vintage, dry white sparkling wine made from 100% Koshu grapes grown around Katsunuma, Koshu City, Yamanashi — the birthplace of Japanese winemaking. Poured into the glass, it releases bright aromas of kabosu, yuzu, quince, and natsumikan (Japanese summer orange), lifted further by the wine's fine, fresh bubbles. On the palate it is light and fruity with a crisp acid backbone, a touch of pleasant bitterness that adds structure, and a savory umami undertone beneath the citrus. The dry, refreshing finish leaves a lingering citrus aroma. At around 12% ABV, it is an easy-drinking, food-friendly style that reflects Kurambon's low-intervention approach to the Koshu variety.

Sommelier's Note

The citrus lift of Koshu turned effervescent — Kurambon's sparkling bottling captures the grape's signature kabosu-and-yuzu brightness in an approachable, everyday format that belongs on every aperitif table.
