KAGA Muscat Bailey A Rosé is a rosé wine from Kanazawa Winery's KAGA series, made from 100% Muscat Bailey A grapes grown in Toyomachi, Kaga City, Ishikawa Prefecture — the same terroir behind the winery's KAGA red bottlings. Pressed for a shorter maceration than the red version, it shows a vivid ruby-violet, jelly-like hue with aromas of red and dark berry skins and a subtle roasted accent. On the palate it is defined by taut acidity and light, gentle tannins, finishing with lingering red-fruit flavor. Lightly filtered, the wine retains fine natural sediment, so it is recommended to pour gently into the glass.
A rare Japanese rosé built entirely on Muscat Bailey A's own berry-skin aromatics rather than borrowed international varieties — taut acidity keeps its jelly-bright color honest on the palate.
