About Kaapzicht Wine Estate

Located in the Bottelary Hills of Stellenbosch, Kaapzicht Wine Estate has been family-owned by the Steytler family since 1946. The name, meaning 'Cape View' in Afrikaans, reflects the stunning vistas of Table Mountain from the estate. Spanning 190 hectares, the winery is renowned for its non-irrigated vineyards on ancient weathered granite soils, which produce concentrated, aromatic wines. The estate is particularly celebrated for its old-vine Chenin Blanc, including a historic 1947 block, and its pioneering work with Pinotage. Under the leadership of the fourth generation, Danie Steytler Jr., the estate combines traditional craftsmanship with modern, sustainable practices to produce world-class wines, including the iconic 'Steytler Vision' Cape Blend.
