Founded in 1888 when travelling salesman Jean Pelissier bought a parcel of Brouilly on the Bel Air plateau and joined forces with his son-in-law Henri Fessy, Henry Fessy is a historic Beaujolais négociant-grower based in Saint-Jean-d'Ardières. In 2008, the estate was acquired by the Burgundy house Maison Louis Latour, marking Latour's first vineyard investment outside Burgundy after three generations of buying Beaujolais Crus for its range. Since the acquisition, Henry Fessy has continued to expand its holdings across most of the ten Beaujolais Crus, now farming nearly 70 hectares of vines. The house is particularly known for terroir-driven, single-cru bottlings that showcase the elegance and freshness of Gamay.
