Guénaël Jambon is a 4th-generation winemaker who took over the family estate in Villié-Morgon in 2001, expanding it in 2004 with the acquisition of Domaine des Roches du Py in the heart of Morgon's famed Côte du Py, in 2007 with Grand Cras, and in 2012 with further Morgon holdings. The domaine now spans roughly 23 hectares across the Beaujolais crus of Morgon, Fleurie and Chiroubles, plus Beaujolais-Villages, all planted to Gamay Noir à Jus Blanc. Work is parcel-by-parcel with a natural, terroir-first philosophy, and cuvées are aged in vats, oak foudres and barrels according to their character. This estate is unrelated to Philippe Jambon of Chasselas. In Chiroubles, the domaine produces the cuvée "Châtenay" from a steep, high-altitude granite lieu-dit of the same name, yielding fruity, generous wines.
