Graham Beck Wines
グラハム・ベック・ワインズ
South Africa's pioneer of world-class Méthode Cap Classique since 1983.
About Graham Beck Wines
Founded in 1983 when industrialist and racehorse breeder Graham Beck purchased the Madeba farm outside Robertson in South Africa's Western Cape, Graham Beck Wines has grown into the country's most celebrated house for Méthode Cap Classique (MCC) — sparkling wine made by the same traditional bottle-fermentation method as Champagne. Since releasing its first MCC in 1991, the estate's bottles have been poured at landmark occasions including Nelson Mandela's 1994 presidential inauguration and Barack Obama's 2009 inauguration. The winery's main vineyards and cellar sit in the Breede River Valley near Robertson, with a second estate and tasting room in Franschhoek. Today the business remains family-run under Graham's son Antony Beck, with cellarmaster Pierre de Klerk (mentored by longtime winemaker and now COO Pieter Ferreira) crafting a range that spans everyday Brut to the prestige tête de cuvée Cuvée Clive.
Who Is This For?
For sparkling wine lovers seeking Champagne-quality bubbles from South Africa, and anyone curious about the wines served at Mandela's and Obama's presidential inaugurations.
