Fattoria Fazzuoli

ファットリア・ファッツォーリ

Organic pioneer in Valdarno di Sopra reviving the rare Pugnitello grape.

Fattoria Fazzuoli is a family-run estate in the Valdarno di Sopra DOC near Terranuova Bracciolini, Arezzo. The Fazzuoli family, originally from Cortona, has cultivated this land since 1868, and the estate has been farmed entirely organically since 1995, certified by ICEA and IFOAM. Six hectares of vineyards line the sun-exposed Valdarno cliffs, planted with Sangiovese alongside old Tuscan varieties such as Colorino, Canaiolo and the rare, nearly-extinct Pugnitello, complemented by Merlot, Cabernet and Syrah. The estate is now led by Federico Fazzuoli, the former host of the RAI television program Linea Verde, who has championed the revival of Pugnitello and produced one of Tuscany's first sulfite-free organic Chianti DOCG wines. The Pugnitello bottling has been internationally recognized, including a gold medal at the Concours Mondial de Bruxelles.
