Founded in 1949 in Pancole, a hamlet of San Gimignano, by Guido and Annunziata Cesani (originally from the Marche region), Fattoria Cesani began as a subsistence farm before specializing in wine and olive oil production under Guido's son Vincenzo. Today the estate is run by Vincenzo together with his daughters, Letizia and Marialuisa Cesani, and holds full organic certification. Letizia oversees the cellar and has served as President of the Consorzio del Vino Vernaccia di San Gimignano, while Marialuisa manages the winery's tasting room and bed and breakfast. The estate focuses on the indigenous Vernaccia di San Gimignano grape alongside Sangiovese, Ciliegiolo, and Colorino, producing wines such as Vernaccia di San Gimignano Sanice Riserva and Luenzo Rosso IGT. Vincenzo Cesani sums up the family's philosophy: "Only those who know their grapes can know how to make them."
