Located in Orschwihr in southern Alsace, Domaine Valentin Zusslin traces its roots to 1691, when Jodocus Cisle settled in the village. Today the estate is run by siblings Jean-Paul and Marie Zusslin, the 13th generation of the family, who took over in 2000. Pioneers of biodynamic viticulture in Alsace, they have farmed entirely biodynamically since 1997 (certified by Demeter, Ecocert, and Biodyvin), cultivating prime terroirs on the Bollenberg, Clos Liebenberg (monopole), and Grand Cru Pfingstberg hillsides. Their wines are prized for purity, precision, and longevity, with their Riesling Grand Cru Pfingstberg and Cremant d'Alsace among the most celebrated in the region.
