Savigny-lès-Beaune La Dominode Premier Cru

サヴィニー・レ・ボーヌ・ラ・ドミノード・プルミエ・クリュ

Domaine Seguin-Manuel

Pinot Noir

About this wine

Seguin-Manuel's flagship wine — sourced from the celebrated La Dominode lieu-dit within Savigny-lès-Beaune Premier Cru. La Dominode is one of the most respected Premiers Crus in Savigny, producing structured, spicy Pinot Noir with deep color, dark fruit, and a firm backbone that rewards 10–15 years of aging. Seguin-Manuel's organic approach brings added freshness and mineral precision to this traditionally powerful terroir.

Beginner's Note

A Burgundy Premier Cru that punches above its price — structured, food-friendly, and a perfect example of what great Savigny can achieve. Far more interesting than most Beaune village wines at the same price.

Sommelier's Note

"La Dominode is Savigny's secret weapon, and Seguin-Manuel's organic version is the cleanest expression I know. Most Savigny Premiers Crus are underrated — they age like Pommard but cost a fraction. Buy six bottles, drink one in three years, and thank yourself at ten."

Food Pairings

Excellent with beef bourguignon, venison stew, grilled lamb chops, and aged Époisses or Comté cheese.

When to drink it

Everyday special dinner, food pairing exploration, or a cellar investment for those on a Burgundy budget.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why is La Dominode considered special in Savigny-lès-Beaune?
La Dominode sits on deep clay-limestone soils with excellent sun exposure on the Pernand-Vergelesses side of Savigny, producing consistently structured, age-worthy Pinot Noir that stands apart from the lighter, more delicate style of the opposite hillside Premiers Crus.
