Domaine Rampon
ドメーヌ・ランポン
Ecocert-certified organic pioneer, horse-plowed Gamay from Régnié
Domaine Rampon, also known as Domaine Chant'Nature, is a small 3-hectare family estate run by André Rampon in Régnié-Durette, in the heart of Cru Beaujolais. André Rampon was one of the pioneers of organic viticulture in Beaujolais, farming organically since 1983 and holding Ecocert certification. He works his vines with minimal intervention: no herbicides or synthetic chemicals, plowing by horse on the steepest slopes, and hand-harvesting. The estate marked its 50th harvest in 2020. His wines, made from Gamay grown on Régnié's pink granite soils, are known for their light, elegant character, with red strawberry fruit, herbal and tea-like nuances, and a fresh, earthy finish. In Japan, Domaine Rampon is imported by the organic wine specialist Mavie.
