About Domaine Pontonnier
Domaine Pontonnier is a family estate at Chevrette in Bourgueil, run by Benoît Pontonnier. It has been in the family since 1891, through five generations, and its 12 hectares of vines lie in the communes of Bourgueil and Saint-Nicolas-de-Bourgueil. As a récoltant (grower-producer), it grows, harvests, vinifies, ages and bottles its wines on the estate. Its reds are supple and fruity, and the La Vignellière Bourgueil is made from Cabernet Franc.
Who Is This For?
For those who like supple, fruity Loire reds that are drinkable young, bought directly from a long-established family estate.
