Domaine Paul Ginglinger
ドメーヌ・ポール・ジャングランジェ
Eguisheim's organic Grand Cru specialist, crafting crystalline, terroir-driven wines.
Domaine Paul Ginglinger is a family estate in the medieval village of Eguisheim, Alsace, with roots tracing back to 1610 and thirteen generations of winegrowers. Since 2000, the domaine has been run by Michel Ginglinger, an oenologist trained in Reims with winemaking experience in Burgundy, South Africa, and Chile, together with his wife. The estate farms roughly 12-13 hectares certified organic, avoiding chemical pesticides and mineral fertilizers in favor of plowing and natural fertilization. Its holdings include prized parcels in the Eichberg and Pfersigberg Grand Cru vineyards on the calcareous-marl-sandstone slopes below the Three Châteaux of Eguisheim. The house style favors dry, precise, mineral-driven wines that let the terroir speak clearly, and its Gewurztraminer Grand Cru Pfersigberg has repeatedly won Regional and International Trophies at the Decanter World Wine Awards.
