Domaine Les Gryphées

ドメーヌ・レ・グリフェ

Family-run Pierres Dorées estate crafting fossil-terroir Gamay crus.

Domaine Les Gryphées is a family-run estate in Le Bois-d'Oingt, in the heart of the Pierres Dorées region of southern Beaujolais. Founded in 1973 by Pierre and Cécile Durdilly, and joined by their son Guillaume in 2007, the domaine farms around 14 hectares of vines. Its name comes from the 'gryphées' — fossilized Tertiary-era oyster shells found in abundance in the estate's limestone-clay soils, which give its wines a distinctive mineral signature. Alongside Beaujolais and Beaujolais-Villages, the domaine produces several Beaujolais crus, including Moulin-à-Vent, Fleurie, Morgon, Chénas, and Juliénas, farmed sustainably with old vines and hand-harvesting.
