Domaine Jean Sipp is a family estate in Ribeauvillé, Alsace, run from a seigneurial house dating to 1416 in the town's upper quarter. The Sipp family has made wine here since the 17th century, and since 2013 Jean-Guillaume Sipp — trained at Zind-Humbrecht, Olivier Leflaive, and other leading estates — has run the domaine with his wife Céline, a Champagne-trained oenologist. Around 20-23 hectares spread over some fifty parcels in five communes include a prized holding in the Grand Cru Kirchberg de Ribeauvillé, a steep, limestone-rich, south/southwest-facing slope classified in 1975. The estate began organic conversion in 2018, gaining HVE certification and later organic certification, and favours a philosophy of quality over quantity with meticulous, low-intervention vineyard work that lets the Kirchberg terroir speak clearly in the glass. Note: this domaine is distinct from the neighboring Domaine Louis Sipp, also of Ribeauvillé.
