Domaine Henry Fuchs is a fourth-generation family estate in Ribeauvillé, at the heart of Alsace's wine route. Founded in 1922, the domaine has been run since the mid-2000s by siblings Paul and Julie Fuchs, who took over from their father Henri, converted the vineyard fully to organic farming (Ecocert-certified since 2011), and refocused production on dry, terroir-driven wines. The roughly 10-hectare vineyard is planted mostly to Riesling, Gewurztraminer, and Pinot Gris, with smaller parcels of Pinot Blanc/Auxerrois, Sylvaner, Pinot Noir, and Muscat, spread across limestone-marl hillsides around Ribeauvillé, including a parcel in the Grand Cru Kirchberg de Ribeauvillé. Grapes are hand-harvested, gently whole-bunch pressed, and fermented with indigenous yeasts, with minimal intervention throughout the cellar. The fox on the estate's label is a nod to the family name Fuchs, German for 'fox' — echoed in cuvées such as the Pinot Noir 'Rouge comme Renard' (red like a fox).
