Domaine Gilles Robin is a family estate based in Mercurol in the Drôme, at the heart of the Crozes-Hermitage appellation. The vineyard has been in the family since 1920, and Gilles Robin took over in 1996 after studying oenology in Montpellier. The estate focuses on Syrah, with wines from Crozes-Hermitage, Saint-Joseph, Cornas and Hermitage, using parcel-by-parcel vinification, hand harvesting and ageing in demi-muids. The estate is farmed organically.
