Domaine François Carillon

ドメーヌ・フランソワ・カリヨン

Precision-crafted Puligny from a family with 500 years of vine heritage

Domaine François Carillon was created in 2010 when brothers François and Jacques divided the historic Louis Carillon estate, tracing its roots to Jean Carillon, a vintner in Puligny as early as 1520. François inherited the family's 16-hectare estate with Premier Cru sites in Les Perrières, Combettes, Folatières, and Champ Gain, as well as the Grand Cru Chevalier-Montrachet. His winemaking philosophy prioritizes precision and balance over power, with minimal new oak (never exceeding 15%).

What are the top cuvées from Domaine François Carillon?
The Chevalier-Montrachet Grand Cru is the pinnacle, followed by Premier Cru Combettes, Perrières, and Folatières in Puligny-Montrachet. Saint-Aubin Premier Cru offerings represent exceptional value from this family estate.
How does François Carillon's style differ from Jacques Carillon?
François produces a richer, more opulent style compared to his brother Jacques's more tensile and understated approach. Both are classical, but François offers greater immediate appeal while Jacques prioritizes vertical structure.
