Domaine Francis Muré (registered as EARL/SCEA Francis Muré) is a small, family-run wine estate in the village of Westhalten, in Alsace's Vallée Noble, about 20 km south of Colmar. The Muré family has farmed vines in Westhalten for generations; this branch of the family remained in the village while another branch — now known as Domaine Muré, home to the Clos Saint-Landelin monopole — relocated to nearby Rouffach. Francis Muré tends vines on the steep, sun-drenched slopes of the Grand Cru Zinnkoepflé, nicknamed the "roof of Alsace" for vineyards climbing to 420 metres, alongside village and lieu-dit parcels. The range spans the classic Alsace varieties — Riesling, Pinot Gris, Pinot Blanc, Pinot Noir, Gewurztraminer and Sylvaner — plus Crémant d'Alsace, Vendanges Tardives and Sélection de Grains Nobles bottlings, several vintages of which have been recognized in the Guide Hachette des Vins. Beyond wine, the family also cures artisanal smoked meats and fish and makes foie gras mi-cuit, and runs a small classified gîte above the winery.
