Domaine des Miquettes
ドメーヌ・デ・ミケット
Natural Saint-Joseph from Cheminas, with buried amphorae
About Domaine des Miquettes
Domaine des Miquettes is a small natural-wine estate in Cheminas, on the plateau above Tournon in the southern part of the Saint-Joseph appellation in the northern Rhône. Founded in 2003 by Chrystelle Vareille and Paul Estève, it farms organically and grows Syrah for its reds and Marsanne and Viognier for its whites. The couple are known for vinifying and ageing wines in buried clay amphorae, inspired by Georgian qvevri, in their Madloba range, alongside Saint-Joseph bottled in more classical style. Wines are made with native yeasts and without fining or filtration.
