About this wine
Domaine de Courcel's Pommard Premier Cru Grands Épenots is a classic expression of one of Pommard's finest climates. The Grands Épenots climat lies on the Beaune side of Pommard with clay-limestone soils producing deep-coloured, structured wines with red and black fruit, iron, and fine tannins. Courcel's parcel, farmed by Yves Confuron with traditional care, produces one of the most precise and age-worthy Grands Épenots in the appellation.
A powerful, classically proportioned Pommard with deep colour and firm structure. Opens with dark fruit and iron notes; needs 8+ years to soften and reveal full complexity.
