Domaine Bernhard-Reibel is a family-run estate in Châtenois, at the foot of the Haut-Koenigsbourg castle in Alsace. Founded in 1981 through the merger of the Bernhard family's vineyards in Châtenois and the Reibel family's vineyards in Scherwiller, the domaine has been run since 2001 by Pierre Bernhard, who converted the estate to organic viticulture, achieving Ecocert certification in 2007. The 21-hectare estate spans several distinct terroirs, notably the two-mica Dambach granite of the Rittersberg and Hahnenberg hillsides, and produces the full range of Alsace AOC varieties (Riesling, Gewurztraminer, Pinot Gris, Pinot Blanc, Pinot Noir, Sylvaner, Muscat) alongside four Grands Crus — Altenberg de Bergheim, Gloeckelberg, Praelatenberg, and Mandelberg — plus Crémant d'Alsace and Vendanges Tardives. Several vintages have been recognized with stars in the Guide Hachette des Vins.
