Château Grande Cassagne is a family wine estate in Saint-Gilles, in the south of the Costières de Nîmes appellation in the Gard. The estate was founded in 1887 when Hippolyte Dardé, a wine merchant from Paris, settled here, and it is still run by his descendants of the Dardé family, with Benoît Dardé at the head since 1991 and his son Paul now alongside him. Vines grow on clay-limestone soils with rolled stones, planted mainly to Grenache, Syrah, Mourvèdre and Roussanne. The estate operates as EARL Château Grande Cassagne.
