About Chassenay d'Arce
Chassenay d'Arce is a champagne cooperative based in Ville-sur-Arce in the Aube, in the heart of the Côte des Bar. Founded in 1956, it brings together about 130 winegrowing families whose vines spread over roughly 315 hectares in 14 villages along the Arce river. The cooperative is the winemaking house for its members: the families grow the grapes and Chassenay d'Arce vinifies, blends and sells the wines under its own brand. Its range is organised in four collections (Les Essentielles, Les Caractères, Les Authentiques and Les Confidentielles), and it was the first Champagne house to receive the Vignerons Engagés label. The name comes from the Chacenay castle that overlooks the Arce valley.
