Biodynamic grower Champagne from Mardeuil, parcel by parcel
About Charlot-Tanneux
Charlot-Tanneux is a small grower-producer (récoltant-manipulant) in Mardeuil, near Épernay, run by Vincent Charlot. The estate farms organically and biodynamically, making its own biodynamic preparations and following the lunar calendar. Its vineyard is split into many small plots across the Marne Valley and south of Épernay, each harvested and vinified separately. Wines are fermented with native yeasts in used barrels and amphorae, with minimal sulfur and low dosage. Vincent Charlot also bottles his more ambitious cuvées under his own name.
