Caves Plouzeau are the tasting cellars of the M Plouzeau estate (Château de la Bonnelière), at 94 rue Haute Saint-Maurice in Chinon, beneath the royal fortress. The estate is run by Marc Plouzeau and farms more than 30 hectares on the left bank of the Vienne, organically. It makes Chinon from Cabernet Franc and Chenin Blanc, with a flagship cuvée Chinon Château de la Bonnelière. The cellars, carved in the 10th to 12th centuries, hold a constant temperature of about 12 degrees C and are open for free visits and tastings.
