About this wine
An organically farmed Alsace Pinot Noir with intense, complex aromas of black cherry and vanilla. Destemmed and macerated for around ten days before aging on the lees in French oak for ten months, giving fine, velvety tannins and real structure for the variety.
Alsace's answer to red Burgundy — lighter and fresher than you'd expect from the region.

Frequently Asked Questions
- Is Alsace known for red wine?
- Alsace is predominantly a white wine region, but Pinot Noir is its traditional red grape, and cooperatives like Cave de Ribeauvillé have increasingly invested in serious red winemaking.
- What does this Pinot Noir taste like?
- Expect black cherry and vanilla aromas from oak aging, with fine, velvety tannins and a structure firmer than typical light Alsace reds.
- Should I serve it chilled?
- A light chill (around 14-16°C) can enhance its freshness, but it is fuller-bodied than most Alsace Pinot Noir and can also be served at standard red wine temperature.

クロ・デュ・ザナケール
Clos du Zahnacker
WhiteRiesling · Pinot Gris · Gewurztraminer
Cave de Ribeauvillé's rarest and most historic cuvée: a field blend of equal parts Riesling, Pinot Gris, and Gewurztraminer, co-harvested, co-pressed, and co-fermented from a single 1.24-hectare walled parcel within the Osterberg Grand Cru. Documented since the 8th century and exclusive to the cooperative since 1965, it shows a powerful, complex nose mixing Riesling's petrol edge, Pinot Gris's smokiness, and Gewurztraminer's rose and spice, with citrus, fig, and gunflint on a full, structured palate.
