About this wine
Sourced from a single vineyard block over thirty years old in McLaren Vale, South Australia, the Wade Block 2 Vineyard Shiraz shows the generous, warm-climate character of the region layered with Brokenwood's Hunter Valley winemaking sensibility. Aromas of black cherry, plum, mocha, licorice and soy lead to a full and complex palate of ripe blackberry, black plum and mulberry, with dark chocolate, cracked pepper and well-integrated French oak. Matured for around sixteen months in French oak puncheons (roughly one-quarter new), the wine has silky, plush tannins and balanced acidity, giving it a long, mocha-tinged finish and good mid-term cellaring potential.
A generous, full-bodied Shiraz with plush tannins — an approachable entry point into warm-climate Australian Shiraz styles.

ブロークンウッド グレイヴヤード・ヴィンヤード シラーズ
Brokenwood Graveyard Vineyard Shiraz
RedShiraz
The Brokenwood Graveyard Vineyard Shiraz is the undisputed flagship of Brokenwood Wines and a benchmark for Hunter Valley winemaking. Sourced from a single historic vineyard planted in 1968 on heavy red clay soils in Pokolbin, its first vintage was released in 1983. In December 2023 it was elevated to Langtons 1st Classified — the only red wine from New South Wales and the only Shiraz from Hunter Valley to achieve this honour. It displays a medium-bodied profile with complex aromas of dark plum, blackberry, iron, blood, earth, and spice. The palate is defined by supple silky tannins, vibrant natural acidity, and a persistent finish that evolves beautifully over two to three decades of cellaring.
ILRリザーヴ・セミヨン
ILR Reserve Semillon
WhiteSemillon
The ILR Reserve Semillon is Brokenwood's benchmark aged Hunter Valley Semillon and one of the region's most celebrated white wines. Named in honour of Iain Leslie Riggs — the winemaker who joined Brokenwood in 1982 and drove its expansion into a nationally and internationally recognised producer — the wine is made without any oak contact and released only after roughly six years of bottle age under screw cap. The 2019 vintage was awarded Best in Show at the Decanter World Wine Awards. Young examples show lemon, lime, dry herbs and a flick of peach kernel; with the extended cellaring Brokenwood insists on before release, the wine develops toast, brioche, lemon curd, beeswax and honeysuckle notes while retaining vibrant, structuring acidity, and can continue to evolve for another two decades or more.
インディゴ・ヴィンヤード・シャルドネ
Indigo Vineyard Chardonnay
WhiteChardonnay
Sourced from the Indigo Vineyard, planted in 1999 in the foothills of the Victorian Alps at Beechworth, this Chardonnay showcases one of Australia's finest cool-climate regions for the variety, made largely from the Mendoza clone. Hand-picked, whole-bunch pressed and fermented with wild yeasts, it is matured in French oak puncheons (a small proportion new) for around ten months. The wine shows a pale straw colour with nectarine, grapefruit and citrus aromas layered with gun flint, toasted cashew and delicate biscuit notes from the oak, leading to a textured, finely balanced palate with bright acidity and a long, mineral-tinged finish. Multiple vintages have won trophies and gold medals as Australia's top Beechworth Chardonnays.
