About this wine
Propiedad (Viñas Viejas de la Propiedad) is one of the flagship wines of Bodegas Palacios Remondo, built around old-vine Garnacha (around 90% of the blend, with a small proportion of traditional varieties such as Graciano and Mazuelo) grown at roughly 550 metres on the rocky, calcareous-clay slopes of Monte Yerga. It is only produced in vintages that meet Álvaro Palacios's exacting standards for elegance, and is aged around 18 months in French oak.
A step up from La Montesa in concentration and complexity — a great way to see what old-vine Garnacha from Rioja Oriental can achieve.
Sommelier's Note

ボデガス・パラシオス・レモンド ラ・モンテサ
Bodegas Palacios Remondo La Montesa
RedGarnacha · Tempranillo · Mazuelo
La Montesa is the flagship wine of Bodegas Palacios Remondo, located in the heart of Rioja Oriental. Crafted by the Palacios family, this wine showcases the elegance of Garnacha grown in high-altitude, iron-rich soils. It undergoes careful aging in oak barrels, resulting in a vibrant, fruit-forward profile with refined tannins, subtle spice, and a persistent, mineral-driven finish that reflects the unique terroir of the Alfaro mountains.
ラ・ヴェンディミア
La Vendimia
RedGarnacha · Tempranillo
La Vendimia ("the harvest") is the entry-level joven red from Bodegas Palacios Remondo, a 50/50 blend of Garnacha and Tempranillo. Hand-harvested grapes are fermented in stainless steel with gentle pump-overs, complete malolactic fermentation, and age only about four to five months in French and American oak — just enough to round the texture without masking the fruit. The label famously depicts a vine, symbolizing the estate's harvest.
プラセット・デ・バルトメジョソ
Plácet Valtomelloso
WhiteViura
Plácet Valtomelloso is the only white wine made by Bodegas Palacios Remondo — a 100% Viura from roughly 30-year-old, organically farmed vines on the calcareous, clay-and-iron slopes of the La Montesa estate on Monte Yerga. The wine ages around 10-11 months on its lees in large 2,000-litre oak ovals, gaining a creamy texture while retaining freshness and minerality.
