A small family-run estate of about 10 hectares in the Calzalunga area of Suvereto, Tuscany, run by Flavio Rabitti, who arrived from Florence to settle near Montioni Park. The vineyards — planted with Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon, Canaiolo, Colorino, Giacomino and other unclassified indigenous varieties, some averaging 40 years of age — are farmed with organic, non-invasive methods that avoid chemical fertilizers, pesticides and herbicides, with most work carried out by hand. Rabitti is one of 27 member wineries of the Consorzio di Tutela Suvereto e Val di Cornia Wine, producing Tuscan IGT wines alongside Val di Cornia DOC wines. Its flagship red, 'PerElisa' (Cabernet Sauvignon and Sangiovese), honors Elisa Bonaparte, Napoleon's sister and Grand Duchess of Tuscany, who planted experimental French vines at Calzalunga in the early 19th century for her summer residence. The white 'Orofino' (Trebbiano and Malvasia) is made without skin maceration, fining or filtration. Beyond wine, the estate also produces Tuscan extra virgin olive oil IGP, truffles, cultivated mushrooms and honey.
