About this wine

Antiyal Kuyen is a premium red blend from the Maipo Valley, Chile, crafted by the renowned biodynamic winemaker Alvaro Espinoza. The name 'Kuyen' means 'Moon' in the Mapuche language, reflecting the estate's deep commitment to biodynamic farming. This wine offers a harmonious balance between the spicy notes of Syrah, the herbal intensity of Carmenere, and the structural elegance of Cabernet Sauvignon—a true expression of Alto Maipo terroir with refined tannins and a long, persistent finish.

Beginner's Note

A sophisticated yet approachable Chilean red that perfectly demonstrates how biodynamic farming elevates wine quality. Think ripe dark berries, black pepper, and a velvety smooth texture—great for those exploring South American fine wine.

Sommelier's Note

"An essential bottle for any serious collector. Kuyen is the benchmark for biodynamic winemaking in Chile—demonstrating that restraint, purity, and terroir expression can rival Old World icons at a fraction of the price."

Food Pairings

Pairs exceptionally well with grilled lamb, roasted game, and aged hard cheeses. Also complements earthy dishes like mushroom risotto or truffle-infused preparations. The spice and tannin structure make it an ideal match for slow-braised beef and hearty stews.

Ideal for intimate dinner parties, special celebrations, or as a thoughtful gift for wine enthusiasts who appreciate terroir-driven, natural wines.
