About this wine
Ampeleia's micro-production icon wine: a single concrete tank ('vasca dodici' means 'tank twelve') of Cabernet Franc from the estate's youngest vines that stood out so distinctly in a given vintage it was bottled separately in an ultra-limited release (around 125 cases for the 2024 vintage). Intense and elegant, with sweet fruit, graphite and balsamic tones, a rich, almost velvety mid-palate, and a long, spicy, persuasive finish.
A collector's bottle rather than an everyday wine — worth seeking out if you can find it.
Sommelier's Note
"When a single tank of Ampeleia's youngest Cabernet Franc outshines everything else in the cellar, they bottle it alone — Vasca Dodici is that rare, honest moment captured."
Food Pairings
A special-occasion Cabernet Franc built for structured, meat-forward dishes — think grilled lamb chops or aged beef.

アンペレイア
Ampeleia
RedCabernet Franc · Sangiovese · Alicante Nero · Carignano · Mourvèdre · Alicante Bouschet
Ampeleia's flagship red, blending roughly 70% Cabernet Franc with 20% Sangiovese and a final 10% split among Alicante Nero, Carignano, Mourvèdre and Alicante Bouschet from the estate's oldest, highest parcels at Ampeleia di Sopra (450-600m). Fully destemmed and macerated for 10-15 days, it ages about a year in cement tanks and a further two years in bottle before release, producing a savory, layered wine with notes of black cherry, violet, wild strawberry and, in cooler vintages, leather and dried eucalyptus.
カベルネ・フラン
Cabernet Franc
RedCabernet Franc
Part of Ampeleia's 'Monovarietali' project spotlighting single grapes and single vineyards, this 100% Cabernet Franc comes from the estate's youngest-planted parcels. It shows the variety's classic mint and crushed white pepper edge alongside forest berries and sour cherry, medium-bodied with silky, refined tannins.
カリニャーノ
Carignano
RedCarignano
A 100% Carignano from Ampeleia's Mediterranean-variety plots, cool and precise despite its Maremma sun. Dark berries — blackberry, blueberry, blackcurrant — meet an aromatic herb garden of wild mint, sage and rosemary, with fine spice notes of allspice and black pepper, all at a restrained 12% alcohol.
アリカンテ
Alicante
RedAlicante Nero
A monovarietal expression of Alicante Nero (a Tuscan biotype of Grenache that Ampeleia helped revive from near extinction), delicate yet savory with orange peel, lemon and dried strawberry character, medium-to-light body, and a vivid, saline finish.
ケポス
Kepos
RedAlicante Nero · Mourvèdre · Carignano
Named after the Greek word for 'garden,' Kepos is a field blend of Alicante Nero, Mourvèdre and Carignano (roughly 50/30/20) from the older vines at Ampeleia di Mezzo, harvested and co-fermented on the same day. Often described as Ampeleia's 'little brother,' it offers cherries, raspberry, citrus, herbs and flowers with crunchy fruit, fine tannins and a saline minerality from vineyards closest to the sea.
ウンリトロ
Unlitro
RedAlicante Nero · Sangiovese · Carignano · Mourvèdre · Alicante Bouschet
Ampeleia's lightest, most dynamic and approachable wine, bottled in a distinctive 1-litre format meant to be shared with good company. A blend of roughly 50% Alicante Nero, 30% Sangiovese, 10% Carignano, 9% Mourvèdre and 1% Alicante Bouschet from vineyards at 180-250m, it shows bright ruby color, fresh cherry and raspberry, subtle balsamic and pepper notes, with crunchy tannins and crisp acidity.
