Bianco di Ampeleia

ビアンコ・ディ・アンペレイア

Ampeleia

Trebbiano · Ansonica · Malvasia

About this wine

An orange wine blending Trebbiano, Ansonica and Malvasia, co-harvested and co-fermented in concrete vats with 7-12 days of skin contact before aging, also in concrete. Intensely perfumed with quince, pear, blood orange, chamomile and beeswax, it has a light body but a dense, chewy, almost tannic texture and a persistent, juicy, mineral finish — a true gastronomic white.

Beginner's Note

An easy, food-friendly entry into orange wine — textured but not too funky for newcomers.

Sommelier's Note

"Bianco di Ampeleia earns its 'gastronomic white' reputation — its tannic, chewy texture makes it a red-wine-drinker's white."
