About A.J. Adam

Located in Dhron in the Middle Mosel, Weingut A.J. Adam is a small, family-run estate founded in 2000 by Andreas Adam, who was joined by his sister Barbara in 2013. The estate cultivates five hectares of steep, terraced, ungrafted vineyards across three Grand Cru sites — Dhroner Hofberg and Has'chen, and Piesporter Goldtröpfchen (with vines dating to 1908 and 1945). In 2020 A.J. Adam became the 31st and newest member of the Mosel VDP, admitted after a unanimous vote of existing members. The Adams practice minimal-intervention winemaking, summarized in their own words as "We accept only excellent fruit and sulfur. That's it." — natural fermentation without added yeasts, no fining, only light filtration, and extended lees contact — producing precise, mineral-driven Rieslings of exceptional purity and aging potential.
