About AdamsWein

AdamsWein is the family estate of Dr. Simone Adams in Ingelheim, Rheinhessen, Germany, founded in 1882. Simone took over unexpectedly in 2010 after her father's sudden death, while completing a doctorate in oenology, and has since converted the property to organic (2017) and biodynamic (2020) farming. Rejecting Riesling in favor of Burgundian varieties -- Pinot Noir, Pinot Blanc, Pinot Gris and Chardonnay -- she works with old German 'Ritter' clones from her own massale selections rather than imported French clones, relying on whole-cluster and spontaneous fermentation, minimal sulfites, and no fining or filtration. Her wines are praised for their purity, precision and Burgundy-like structure, earning wein.plus's Rheinhessen 'Collection of the Year' for 2023/2024 and a feature among VinePair's producers to watch in Rheinhessen.
