Aalto PS — short for Pagos Seleccionados — is the icon wine of Bodegas Aalto, crafted only in exceptional vintages from a handful of single parcels in La Aguilera, La Horra, and Banos de Valdearados. Made from 100% Tinto Fino (Tempranillo) sourced from vines aged 60 to 90 years old, it is aged approximately 18 to 20 months in 100% new French oak. Production is capped at roughly 10,000 bottles per vintage, resulting in a wine of remarkable density, purity, and aging potential that has earned scores in the low-to-mid 90s from critics and collectors alike.
Aalto PS is Mariano Garcia's ultimate statement on old-vine Tinto Fino — denser, more structured, and longer-lived than the standard Aalto, and arguably one of the most collectible wines to come out of Ribera del Duero in the past two decades.
