Organic Chianti Classico estate in Greve since 1964
Founded in 1964 by engineer Lucio Landini in Greve in Chianti, Viticcio is a historic family estate at the heart of Chianti Classico. Since 2015 it has been owned by Alexander and Helen Biba, who have expanded the property to roughly 120 hectares spanning Chianti Classico, Maremma, and Bolgheri. The estate has farmed organically since 2013, earned organic certification in 2017, and has practiced biodynamic methods on select parcels since 2003. Barriques have been part of the cellar since 1985. Sangiovese remains the backbone of the range, from the classic Chianti Classico and Riserva to the flagship Gran Selezione, Prunaio.
