Azienda Agricola Renìs is a small, family-run estate in the Ghiaccio locality of Suvereto, on the Tuscan coast between the Colline Metallifere and the Val di Cornia plain. Founded in 2012 by Simone Pigatto and his wife Roberta as a conscious escape from city life, the estate began with just 3,000 bottles and has since grown into a producer of pure Syrah wines, an aromatic rosé, extra virgin olive oil, and heritage-grain pasta from Senatore Cappelli wheat and spelt. Renìs is a member of the Consorzio Suvereto e Val di Cornia Wine, the body founded in 2021 to protect the DOP wines of the area. True to its philosophy of letting the vintage speak rather than chasing a consistent marketing-driven style, the estate produces two pure Syrah bottlings — Vic, fermented in steel with native yeasts and no additions, and the flagship Renìs, fermented in steel and cement and aged one year in barrique — alongside the rosé Roberta and Il Rosato. The Toscana IGT Syrah 2021 was ranked among the top wines of the 2024 vintage guides, and the winery is regarded as one of the standout small producers to emerge from the Suvereto area in the hot 2017 vintage.
