Remelluri
レメルリ
Rioja's pioneer single-estate bodega, biodynamic and mountain-grown.
Remelluri is one of Rioja's most historic single-estate bodegas, based in Labastida in the Rioja Alavesa sub-region. Re-founded in 1967 by Jaime Rodríguez Salís on land cultivated since the 10th century, it released Rioja's first modern single-vineyard wine in 1971. Since 2009 the estate has been run by siblings Telmo Rodríguez and Amaia Rodríguez Hernandorena, who farm certified organic and biodynamic vineyards between 500 and 950 meters on the slopes of the Sierra de Toloño — among the highest and coolest sites in Rioja. The wines, built from old-vine Tempranillo, Garnacha, and Graciano, are prized for their mineral structure, elegance, and exceptional aging potential.
