Podere Forte

ポデーレ・フォルテ

Biodynamic excellence in the heart of Val d'Orcia.

Located in the heart of the Val d'Orcia, a UNESCO World Heritage site, Podere Forte is a prestigious biodynamic estate near Castiglione d'Orcia, founded in 1997 by Pasquale Forte. Guided by the anthroposophical teachings of Rudolf Steiner and the soil expertise of Lydia and Claude Bourguignon, the estate combines archaic knowledge with precision technology across a 500-hectare closed-loop farm of which only about 16 hectares are under vine. Wines are predominantly Sangiovese, alongside Cabernet Franc and Merlot, grown on high-altitude, limestone- and schist-rich soils, and vinified in a five-storey gravity-flow cellar. The estate is Demeter-certified biodynamic and holds ICEA organic certification, producing wines such as Petrucci, Guardiavigna, Petruccino and Rocca d'Orcia Villaggio that are noted for their elegance and profound expression of Val d'Orcia terroir.
