Podere Casa al Vento is a family-run winery and agriturismo in the hills near Sant'Albino, just south of Montepulciano in the province of Siena, Tuscany. Founded in 2003 when owner Sonia Buracchi transformed her family's agricultural property into a wine estate, the 19-hectare property includes 6 hectares of vineyards (5 hectares planted in 2001, 1 hectare in 2014), forest and olive groves, and has been converting to organic farming since 2021. Sangiovese, grown as the local prugnolo gentile clone, is the estate's flagship variety, used to produce Vino Nobile di Montepulciano DOCG and its Riserva, alongside Rosso di Montepulciano DOC. Cabernet Sauvignon, Canaiolo Nero, Colorino and Mammolo round out the vineyard, contributing to a Chianti Colli Senesi DOCG and two Toscana IGT wines, Brutus and L'Amante. The estate produces around 17,000 bottles a year and welcomes guests through its on-site agriturismo, offering wine and olive oil tastings, cellar tours and accommodation amid the vines.
